351W stroker kits

What is the best 427 stroker kit for my 351 Windsor?

Any suggestions will be appreciated,

Kevin

I'd go with Eagle or Scat parts personally. 4340 forged steel for the crank and rods, with H-beam rods.

Maybe be a little overboard though, depending on what your goals are for the car.

Check out Welcome to DSS Racing.com and see what all they have.

Re: 351W stroker kits

hope you got a dart block... they're the only ones that can go 427 far as I know.

Re: 351W stroker kits

yeah, turns out im wrong, you can do some 426-427 kits with the 9.5 inch deck height.. but in the interest of durability i'd keep the wrist pins a little further down from the tops of the pistons... AKA 408.

Re: 351W stroker kits

But 427 is such a sexy number when it comes to V8 motors.

I read a article in a HOT ROD magazine that said Coast High Performance makes a very good 351 based 427 Short-Block.
CHP-We Build Horsepower!

But like bbunt302 said D.S.S. makes a very good product, and I would probably buy from them, Ive just never heard anything about their 427 stroke kits, but I'm sure their very good. I went to school with a kid who bought a 331 Short-Block from D.S.S. and he said he liked it very much, and he's was running 10's in a 92 Fox Coupe with Nitrous I believe, but I don't know what else he had done to the car, he only drove it to school once that I know of.

By the way I've never owned a Mustang with a Push Rod engine. This is just my 2 cent, and these other fellows know more about them than me.

Re: 351W stroker kits

I would equal CHP to DSS.. 427 vs 408 is along the same argument as 347 vs 355..
