some stuttering

I've got a stuttering prob - but it's only once in a while....it can happen at any rpm or throttle position.... IE I'll be driving to work at say 70 mph and hit the gas a little to pass someone and I get nothing - then if I keep my foot in the same spot for a few seconds everything clears up and it takes off. Fuel pressure is around 34psi @ idle however sometimes it creeps up to 40psi and the car starts stalling - the car was supposedly rebuilt in stock form but I'm wondering if the fuel pump was upgraded and over working the factory fpr - any ideas?

Re: some stuttering

The fuel pump only pumps as much fuel as it is told to pump. Going to a "bigger" fuel pump really just means going to a more capable fuel pump. So, the fuel pump isn't your problem.

Re: some stuttering

The top plastic piece is the colored part. The 19s are actually orange though. It's just that everytime I've seen them they are always really nasty and look more tan than orange.
