odd problem

so went to the doctor today and car ran fine, even stopped at the store for coffee on the way back, so i get home, park it run inside to grab my lunch and a couple of other things before i go to work. go out side to get back in, start it, as the idle comes down it dies, start it again, same thing, start it up and hold my foot on the gas to bring it up to like 2k RPM, stays running, get it out of the driveway on to the street, let it idle down, it stalls. so at this point i decided im gonna take my dodge to work, so i take my keys move the dodge out get back in the stang to put it in the driveway, it starts, i back it in, let it idle and its idling fine. this whole time the fuel pump was running and i oviously had spark, fuel gauge reads 1/4 tank, but it could be wrong. I haven't messed with it since this morning, will probobly mess with it tomorrow morning before work but just looking for any thoughts.

Stock 5.0 Liter with a 5 speed

Re: odd problem

hmm my 01 v6 would not idle, it would just die. It turned out to be th IAC (idle bypass valve) and its an easy swap. It could be that in your case (generally they go bad when its cold) it could also be the MAF needing cleaning or a vacuum leak.
