Where's an excellent dyno facillity?

I live near Chattanooga, TN. The new 347 + ported/polished Edelbrocks will go in next week. I have a Diablo 3-position (default, advanced premium, nitrous settings) and I want to spend the time, energy and money to have it dyno tuned right.

If you have had an excellent PERSONAL experience having your Windsor car tuned some place (Atlanta, Nashville, Huntsville) would you please share that name with me. Maybe if you've had a bad experience you might tell me, too.

The last place I used was "adequate" They burned a dozen chips to get one right so I wan't go back there. Spent the entire day (no problem) spent $500.00 for tuning & chip (no problem). Charging $75 plus parts to do a 15 minute plug change (I timed him) bothered me a little.

Should you wonder what in the motor go to my website. Everything will be pretty much the same except for the 347, P/P heads, 30 lb injectors and mass air, X303 cam and the billet 28 oz flywheel and balancer.

Thanks for your input.
Jim

I went with my ex to Daytona. They have Mustang Dynonamics. It was $400 for everything.

I have heard a couple horror stories from Delk. I personally would stay away.

Re: Where's an excellent dyno facillity?

Other than that, how do you feel about them? Really, i'd heard similar stories and just wanted to see if others had the same impression. Bad news gets around faster than good news, though. But if it's your car on the drum when they say "Oooh s**t!", that kills all the good ones.

Bullitt,
I was in Columbus two days last week. Had meetings at 4-County. Be back in Tupelo in about a week. If you have an address I'd like to see the place.

Re: Where's an excellent dyno facillity?

Welcome to Southern Speed Racing!

He is pretty strict to doing mustangs(obviously). He tunes and is currently working on last years NMRA Drag Radial Champion John Kolivas' car. It's a Turbo 94-5 cobra with a big honking turbo. He's the one doing the torque boxes/subframes and guaranteeing them(i've probably said this before) for 8.50's and slower in the quarter. I don't think he does any engine work, but I know for a fact he can recommend someone who can.

He uses a mustang dyno, so don't go expecting big numbers since the mustang dyno's have more real world variables to factor in. It's pretty badass, but a small shop.
