aluminum radiator

are the Ford Racing aluminium radiators worth the extra 145 dollars? my radiator needs replacing.. so i wass going to go with just the regular replacement but i wanted your guy's input. what are the differences (aside from the obvious) and do those things really keep your car cooler?

Re: aluminum radiator

I got a 3-core brass radiator (which is actually better for cooling than aluminum) for $200. Check your local parts store.

I needed it on my car, badly. Still had cooling problems until I got a good high flow electric fan and put back on the plastic air dam under the front bumper.

No, I didn't take it off. It was off when I bought the car, so I had to buy one to put on it.

Re: aluminum radiator

no SVT, you really don't need the high dollar radiators untill you start pumping alot more power out of your car, I probably could get away without having one, but I spent alot of money on motor that I don't want to fry

Re: aluminum radiator

yea, that's exactly wut i was get'n at. i will b run'n only 9psi so i think my stock radiator will due...however, i know all u stroked guys need the extra cooling from the extra heat of the added displacement....at least that's my understanding anyway.

Re: aluminum radiator

I've got the Motorsport aluminum with the plastic end tanks along with a Spal dual 11" setup, and yes, my blown combo needed it!
