Even though you have a 5.0 and I have a 4.6, I'll give you my experience
It is very straight forward and simple. Just follow the directions given in the item description. It's one of the easiest mods I've done to mine so far. Install took me about 45 mins by myself. Just don't do any power-shifting for a day or so if you are using RTV sealant because your shift plate will slide if it hasn't fully dried and sealed yet. It is definitely worth doing. Much more comfortable than the stock shifter and shifting takes a fraction of the time with my short throw as opposed to stock.

Re: short throw steeda

its quite easy and wont take much time make sure the little plastic ball goes back in with the new one (its what the lever goes into in the trans)

also this is a GREAT time to change the trans fluid drain i under the bottom take shifter off poor into shifter hole slowly to given capacity.

Steeda is nice but I perfer MGW or pro 5.0 on the 5.0 mustangs, T-5s are noisy and the steeda makes it much worse where mgw helps

never thought of that spec, but I suppose you are right, mine is somewhat unnaturally noisy.
The steeda has alot more spring to it, which is fun when you're in the heat of battle but on a daily driven car im not sure its as fun to drive as the others.
