Rear Suspenion Questions

Good Evening
Looking for suggestion for rear suspension upgrades on a 87 notch, right now it is completely stock. The car will spend 90% of its time on the street, 10% at the drag park.....my thoughts are Lakewood liftbars 50/50 drag shocks welded torque boxes, lakewood upper control arms....front 90/10 drag shocks, stock coils or possibly upgrade to coil overs...any help or suggestions would be great...

Thanks Kurt

Re: Rear Suspenion Questions

liftbars are NOT fun for a daily driver.

If its going to spend 90% of the time on the street I would go with Maximum Motorsports LCAs (with spherical bushings so they work better to remove bind) some OEM boxed uppers with new rubber in them (aftermarket uppers can cause bind)

then some nice shocks/struts (90/10 would be for a strict drag car).

Weld in the tq boxes of course as well as full length sub frames that weld in. I wouldnt do coil overs for a street car they make noises and can be a hassle.

Re: Rear Suspenion Questions

they have good components but I like MM better. I am sure they will work fine for a street car for LCA, subframes (weld in full length) and such... but I would highly recommend MM's product.

Re: Rear Suspenion Questions

I used a GMS k-member and I loved it. It was a hell of a lot better than the UPR design.
