Eagle crank shaft

Hey will any cast steel eagle crank work with my aod and what ounce would y'all recomend on getting I have a 50oz fly wheel so is that what it is talking about

wat? why does the aod make a difference with the crank?

Well I read up on a crank and it said it wouldn't work with the aod that's why I ask

On mod motor cars the manual and auto crankshafts have a different amount of bolts. One us 6 and one 8 I believe. Never heard ofthat with a fox.

they make adaptors to use aod on modulars. i seen them in jegs catalog

Ya and they also make flywheels with an auto bolt pattern and flex plate with manual patterns. Still never heard if a difference in a fox though. I think its bs personally but then again I have never owned an auto fox.

100%of my notchback is goin in my 97. ima help put the bs to rest.

uhm yea...it's not the first time it's been done. no differnt than taking from a 95 gt and putting in a 97. im actualy using a 95gt harness so i dont have to retofit so much stuff. i didnt wanna use my foxbody harness if i didnt have to. dont get me wrong, i could have. but less wiring b.s. is involved if you use the harness designed for the chassis. im even gonna use my aod

Of ok, I follow you now but not sure I understand why. Is the 97 a v6?

yea, your correct. its just a tad bit roomier than my notchback.

Well I'm in bama home of au tigers but wish you lived closer to cruise man I'm trying to build a 308 roller and find people to cruise with

Yea I agree but I don't know alot of people all my dads friends my dad all dirt race Chevrolets and stuff like that you know true hill Billy stuff but I decided to build me a ford the best car ever a 1990 twilight blue 25th anniversary hatch back mustang fox body but can't wait till I finish my roller motor
