Got some new fans

Got some fans from PAP. Wich set should I use ??
The single leaves about an 1" gap on each side.
The duals fit perfect.

Re: Got some new fans

The dual fans will draw more current I think. I had a single on both my '84 and '85 and it seemed like more than enough to keep em cool!
I'd stick with the single, unless you have upgraded your alternator. Just my $.02.

I would stay with the single unless you upgrade the alternator too. I like the dual fans but you know the old saying if it aint broke don't fix it. in my opinion.

I had the dual Taurus fan that you show installed on mine. I also have the 3G upgraded alt. With the 3G installed the lights would not even dim when they kicked on. Depending on what fan controller you use different voltage spikes can be expected. I believe that the dual Taurus fan if allowed to kick both fans on at their max speed will draw something like 40 amps. Some controllers such as the Delta Current Controller will allow the fans to kick on at a lower speed and ramp up, essentially stopping spikes in amps. I am not positive but I think the top fan in your photo is a Lincoln mark VIII fan. If it is that fan it will draw more amps than the dual Taurus fan, it also moves a ton of air. When I had the Taurus fans in I had no problems with cooling. I removed them because I went another way. I will tell you to make sure that either fan is securely mounted. These fans have a ton of torque, if you want to see what I mean hook a battery to one of the Taurus fans. Either fan is a good choice but I would without a doubt upgrade the alternator or you may end up frying something else in the car when those fans kick on.
