Extra fan nosie i think??

I hope someone can help with this, I changed the fan clutch and fan and after I made the change I got a loud wind blowing sound. It only happens when I first start the engine and then if I'm at idle for a few minutes then it goes away I think. Well at least I think this is coming from the fan but I could be wrong all together. If someone can help me with this problem do I need to change the fan clutch again or is it something else. HELP ME PLEASE!!! thank you.

Re: Extra fan nosie i think??

those 5.0 fans DO Make a lot of noise , there's probably nothing wrong with it
do you have a fan shroud ? that tends to mask the wind noise

Yea I do have a fan shrud I was worried because it never made that noise before just all of a sudden. So if I went to a electric fan I would be better off then, what do you think?

You are missing the electric fan you should have replaced it with.

Man I gotta see if I still got part numbers. I had numbers on a really nice prewired relay kit and a fan that fit in the stock shroud perfect.

There was a really nice relay kit from gm I used all the time. Waterproof, fusible link, ground strap, perfect for fans. I got the part # somewhere.
