Should I Keep The Red Or Go Satin Black?

I hate red cars, but it's the original paint. It's not in that good of shape anyway, scratches and such, but NO rust at all. Really contemplating doing a satin black rattle can this weekend. I am a very good rattle can painter, as I have done no less than 15 cars with spray paint, so I am pretty experienced. Post your opinions please.

Keep it red. A good buff on it will probably do wonders.

I say paint it the way you wuold like it. If you don't like red then paint it, its not like its a collector car like the Cobra.

Re: Should I Keep The Red Or Go Satin Black?

Here is one example of my old Talon that I sprayed myself. The paint was shot to ***** on this one and I had to do something about it.
If I did the satin black on the Mustang, I would most likely leave the grey.

Try a good buff job and if it doesn't pan out then go with the satin black.

I have a 91 with factory gloss black paint and love it. Get the clear headlight kit and some chrome 18" cobras and lower it and you'll be in love!

That's not the cobra. I think you should go ballistic with that thing. Flat black, tubs, cage, road warrior style. Have fun with that thing. Remember, it doesn't have to be a beauty queen to be cool.

It's my DD....no need to paint it professionally. I just want to make it all one color...when the day comes to pro paint it...it will be blasted then painted from bare metal.

In case you haven't seen the car...here it is in all it's glory...

Mustang Evolution - PureVenom's Album: 93 LX Hatch ... It's not as shiny as the pics make it appear either...

That was the point of the original thread...to which I suggested keeping the red. But then svtlx replied to my post so it sounded like it was being addressed to me, so I addressed his comments.

Re: Should I Keep The Red Or Go Satin Black?

If I had my phone I'd post a pic of this stang that needs petom's help. It's got a 2 tier wing and tons of tacky window and side graphics...

I had a friend who rhino lined his entire truck. It was a extended bed and cab dodge or "big ugly". It looked like a fricken boulder rolling down the street. He had a loud speaker hooked up so we could say **** to people and mess with em. It was great, he couldn't get keyed or nothin, you'd hurt yourself trying to hurt that ugly car.
