I have an Sct and a very happy customer. Diablosport makes a good unit too. If you ever plan on getting a dyno tune buy whatever brand your tuner is using. If you are buying new and don't have gears yet go to American muscle and get the tuner/gears combo. That is the best deal going and bama gives you free tunes for life and that is unbeatable. That is my next buy. Bama will cut you in on that deal for 150 if you already have a tuner.

Yea I already have gears (4.10s) , I'm in the process of my H/C/I swap now and new MSD ignition / distributor so I think I'm gonna give it a try and see how it works, then once everything is in I'll have to get my timing adjusted

They have a cai/tuner combo too. And you are gonna need some form of custom tune for h/c/I upgrades your doing. I suggest the bama/am route. They will send you 1000 different tunes. And if you datalog and email it to bama they will take care of you.it's really worth it. And they will just keep sending you different tunes forever. Everything from a fuel economy tune to a full on 93 octane race tune written for your mods.

All you do is give bama your specific mods. Everything that has to do with cam and heads and they will send you some tunes. Then you go for a drive with your laptop and tuner plugged into the obd port. Make sure you go thru the gears and drive er hard for a few minutes. Then you email that info back to bama and they tweak the tunes they sent ya. It's a great deal and unless you go f/I bama should be able to take care of you. If in the future you bolt on a blower I would get that dyno tuned but the bama for life is pretty much the best deal going. And if your buying a cai make sure it's not metal

Re: Chips & Tuners?

I didn't know you could put a tuner to a '94. I thought they had to be chipped?

Are the obd1 or obd2. If it's obd1 it does need a chip but I am pretty sure bama offers tunes for life with them too.

Re: Chips & Tuners?

In that case you will have to use a chip. The handheld tuners are for obdII.
