Can someone identify this part?

Hi there,

I bought my Mustang about a month ago, but I haven't driven it or had much time to work on it because of school.

Anyways, I was looking under the hood the other day and I came across this part.

I was wondering if anyone could identify it and tell me what it's purpose is.

I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Car: 1995 Ford Mustang, 3.8L, 6-cylinder engine.

(I didn't know what section to post this thread under, so I chose this one lol)

Take one more picture backed out a bit. Little more of the engine compartment.

It looks like the top is broken off, are there any id numbers on it or can you tell where the connector goes to?

2nd photo doesn't work. Is that above the alternator and on a coolant crossover tube?

@SaleenFiend
Hmm, the link to my Twitpic disappeared. Oh, well.
No, it's not above the alternator and on a coolant crossover tube. It's on the right side of the motor and it's around the air conditioning compressor.

@SpectorV

A cap, eh? Hmmm...I'll have to look more into it. Thanks!

It has to be a relay it has no wire coming to . If it was the low pressure switch it would have a wire coming to it. Just like the pressure switch that is on the dryer . It has I wire coming from it. If that makes any sense . Unless there is a plug that got ripped off
