Best clutch

I have an 89 5.0 with a T5 and I was wondering if I could get some feedback on the best clutch. I currently have a centerforce unit but I don't like how under acceleration it seems to hesitate and then take off when the counter weights swing out. I have never driven another car with this clutch so I don't know if it's normal, or if my clutch is starting to slip. Either way I'm looking for something new and I'm going to be running drag radials so I want something with a decent amount of bite to avoid clutch slip at launch.

Re: Best clutch

I've always used Centerforce ,never had a problem with them .. except my old 88 vert , it put over 600 horse to the ground and i smoked the CF It would not hold the power .put a Ram in it ,was good to go !!!

Specs customer service sucks. And I have seen umpteen threads about the stage 2 clutches lasting 5000 miles and spec telling their customers to suck it.

Thanks for the tips, I think I'm gonna go with a Ram clutch based on this and advertisements I've seen.
