Re: Want To Buy

Check for rust and if you do get Don't drive it during the winter the salt will eat it. Only reason I state that is cause that is one bad *** car

Re: Want To Buy

Here's what to look for if your plans are a drag car.
Check for rust on the undercarriage, mainly the torque boxes. Also if it is a hatchback, look in the top of the hatch area where it bolts on for any rust as well. Check your motor mount and trans cross member mount points also.
Drive it and make sure it feels fairly solid to begin with, because being a drag car, I know you will be putting subframe connectors and possibly a cage in it anyway, but a good solid base is a good idea!

Edit, I just read your original post with more attention this time and realised you aren't building a drag car. Sorry, lol. But those areas to check are a good idea for a solid dependable car.

Re: Want To Buy

I have to agree RUST and ROt are the big killer in these cars. Look under it good and be sure someone didnt just put some spray can undercoat to hide stuff.
If its solid grab that it a great platform to play with for sure.
