Traction ughh

Seems like a pretty revenant question when we drive stangs. But I have 650 rwhp and always run Micky Thompson ET steets. I burn into 4 th gear and have a full suspension already. Any thoughts and gaining any more traction I'm lost for ideas

Thanks Brett

Re: Traction ughh

at that power level its mainly for bragging rights on the street or high MPH runs lol... not to much you can do if you have sticky tires and a good setup suspension

Are you using drag radials or wrinkle wall. Wrinkle wall would be better however not street legal

There basically a street legal slick. But I think I will buy bigger rims and put the same tire on but bigger. I'm running 17inch now so the biggest tire I can put on the back is 275. Does anyone know what tire size I can run on 18s or 19s?

K. The modded mustangs forum has a massive write up on rubber. Troll on that site and read up on it

Re: Traction ughh

My m/t's hook worse on the street than my street tires.

If you don't get heat built up in those tires they do you no good. Sorry...that's just how they are made.

There is no reason your car won't hook on a 275.

I also take it you have a fox-body...can't go no wider, sorry.

Is the car lowered? If it is, try some relocation brackets to center up the geometry of the vehicles suspension.
