Well, I saw this ad on craigslist and was wondering how these go in? Not payin 650 though. http://charlotte.craigslist.org/pts/2258851436.html
My battery, oil pressure, and gas gauge all work. My temperature works sometimes, and other times it lays below 130. My tach and speedometer dont work, but ive got an aftermarket tach. Also, I called Carolina salvage and they said they've got an 88 gt and a 91 cobra sitting there. (A 91 cobra? He probably meant clone) lol. Anyway, mines a 89 and my dads is a 93 so if we can get the cluster out of those then it'll be perfect.

Did you say you had an 89? If so I don't think a 90-93 gauge cluster will work. They have a different shape to them where the steering column goes. I could be wrong about the fitment but if they will work I have a cluster for sale for a 90-93 mustang

Re: mustang gauge cluster

The 87-93 cars had the same dashes so it would work in an 89

I know the 90-93 won't work. But that was an aftermarket one so that's why I asked what you'd have to do yo put it in.

Yeah, the 87-89 steering wheel and steering column was smaller, and the steering wheel was different, and the 90-93 had a different steering wheel and a bigger steering column.

Yeah my 92 doesn't have the factory steering wheel. It's got an older wheel from a mustang before air bags were put in. If you can figure out a way to get a 90-93 cluster to work let me know because i have one for sale cheap

Re: mustang gauge cluster

yea, they are definatley different. you have to take the clear plastic cover off and trim the corner of the speedo with a dremel or grinder. it's not hard at all. i got a 160mph bbk speedo. you will have to to swap the tach section tach)..but i think i may have another to drop in it. that way you can buy 92 mustanggt's and mine so u and your dad can both have one.

Lol. Nah. I don't really wanna do that. Got enough trouble trying to get the lower control arm off. I've got a thread on that.

Don't really like the wing. I do like cowl hoods, I was just trying to get the logic of one on an efi, unless it's for looks. Cowl hoods are nice.
