1995 mustang aode

Ok I got a 1995 cobra 5.0l ecam. Shorties. Off road x pipe. Magnaflow cat back. And I gotta change my torque converter to a bigger stall since it has been stalling out sometimes when I put it in drive or reverse. I was told to get a 2500 stall so I ordered it last week. I'm doing all the work my self on Tuesday. Can someone help. What I'm I gonna run in to with the aode. I have done it on c4 but never messed with an aode.

First of all is your Cobra a stocker besides all ur said mods? The aode transmission is oem stock I believe?Because I have a '94 GT and it has the aode tranny stock in it.For me I was told to put in an Ecam with GT40X heads to run with my longtube headers,X pipe and Flowmaster catbacks.TC stall is better @ 2700rpm and as far as out the ordinary for ur aode auto? Unless you're runnin' a Bcam or anything higher you shouldn't run into any stall issues.But for better shifting performance you can rebuild ur tranny (aode) witha shift improver kit form TCI,B&M or other brand you'd prefer to have firmer shifts.Theres also a chip from SCT that reprograms ur ecu for better performance for eng. and trans.shiftpoints.

Well I have a shift kit in it. I also have performer eldebrok heads potted and polished. It has an ecam. Timing gear drive. Cold air. Lots of after market parts. I don't have a chip yet but that will happen after the new converter is on. Exhaust cut outs. Ford racing aluminum drive shaft. Was added by me. Mustang runs great butbother than it's stalling when I put it in drive I just give it some gas and the car is fine. I thought it was the fuel but I have taken it to 3 different shops and they said the torque converter doesn't have enough stall. I talked to bill from cjponyparts and he said I needed a 2500 stall after i told him all the performance parts and synonym sheet. I was gonna change the converter my self. I'm just worried I spent 600 on a converter and it's something else. I'm not used to fuel injection as I have a 67 and a 68 with c4 and f100 with c6...

Oh ok than stick w/the 2500 stall TC than.It was the Bcam that required the 2700 stall. Although they only state that B303 cam is strictly for 5spd.man.You can runnum auto too! Just need to know the secrets from the ol'time racers! Don't worry,ur on the right track guy.HAPPY STOMPIN'!!
