Opinion What These Are Worth Please

I am due to pick up a complete set of new stock seats for my Fox Body Mustang tonight. The seats in it now are brand new racing seats they have about 500 miles at most of use on them. They are mint not a mark or scuff on them and work like brand new of course also. I dont know much about these and cant use them due to my lower back injury years ago other wise I would keeping them for sure they look great. They have the full track system on both and ready to bolt in and adjust forward, back, recline.
My question is what would be a fair asking price if I do put them up for sale this week. I hate to have them sit in my garage if I take them out this weekend to put the stock ones back in.

Any thoughts would be great and I plan to put them up for sale here when I hit my 100 post mark I hope.

Thank You

Yeah, really depends on what brand, and what model. They are really nice though.

What color is your back seat? Are you perhaps looking for some '93 Cobra wheels?

Nevermind about the wheels, just remembered about the offset and I think you said something about getting replicas anyway.

Re: Opinion What These Are Worth Please

I think they could be "PROCAR" brand seats. If so they're worth about 500/pr. Summit racing equipment sells it.I'd make an offer for the front pair and rear assembly but shipping will be herendous cause I live way in Hawaii.I have a 1994 GT and need seats cause I'm restoring minds to a street/strip streetrod. To bad you're not from California or somewhere in the Pacific.

That would be great for some 93 wheels cant I use spacers on them to make them work or is that not correct. If so that would be a cool thing if it worked out.
My rear seat is the stock grey GT not sure of the color name but can take pictures if needed.

Yea I think the shipping would be a bit much for that type of distance. I would love to hand deliver them LOL.

Re: Opinion What These Are Worth Please

Yeah, you would probably need large spacers for them to look right on the car, unless you swapped in a disc brake rear and the front Cobra rotors. There is about 3/4 of an inch difference in them and the repros. I don't exactly have a complete set either, I have 3 passenger side and one driver side. I need to swap one out to make a full set, but they are OE. If I was closer to ya, we could work something out, but I would just hate to pay shipping on those bad boys, lol.
Your best bet would be to sell the seats and get the repro wheels, unless you are going to swap rear ends and front rotors.

This is what I have three of the wheels looking like after I refinished them. The other one is still silver because I still need to find one to swap out with.

Re: Opinion What These Are Worth Please

Well I am finding out that the rear lower seat from a 91 LX hatchback has a different bottom latch system then a GT does. I got all the parts swaped out and went to put the rear lower section in and it does not latch into place. I am not sure what to do at this point with the seats I bought today.
Either I put the race seats back in and order stock new fabric to cover the new seats I bought the front one that is and use my stock rear seat to make them all match. Or I guess I could sell the set I just bought front and rear and keep looking for a mint set that will fit.

Does anyone know where I can buy the stock matching fabric to have seats recovered. I would only need it for the front seats

Thank You

Man I bet you can sell them like you have really quick if you wanted to. I have seen them listed on other site and they go quick from what I recall.

Latemodel Restoration Supply. Upholstery kits are pricey though.
You can't just swap the fabric on to the old bottom?

I tought about that also just to swap the fabric on the bottom rear, but the way I am so picky with matching and clean cars I would be worried the upper rear and new lower fabric would not matc perfect. I am gonna check that site out right now even it is a couple hundered just for the front fabric I may just go that route. It does not look to hard to swap the fabric on the front I was looking at them just now. Man I cant win lately with cars of course I find this out as the very last piece I put in also LOL.

So you couldn't take your old bottom and just swap the fabric on to it from the set you just bought?

Yep I just looked them up and they are 350.00 and only come with front and rear complete set. The fabric looks a little different and thay even say that on their site. If the above plan does not work I just may order the black set then I guess. Boy my wife is gonna love that if I have to buy them. As it is I told her the seat I picked up today were only 100.00 what she dont know wont hurt I guess LOL.

I picked up a set of black seats to replace the torn driver seat in my Cobra for $135 on Craigslist. Then I took the torn one and the other good one and traded them for a brand new set of underdrive pullies for my Vert.
What did you give for yours if ya don't mind me asking.

I picked up a full set of the fronts and rear from a 92 LX hatch back the car had 60K on it when pulled. They are near perfect no rips stain at all on them. The guy had the listed for 500.00 I picked them up for 400.00.

I am gonna try the material swaptomy rear lower foam today I hope and see how that goes. I just hop they both have the exact shape. I will keep you posted in case this ever comes up for other members here.
