X-pipe

Could anyone tell me the difference between an h-pipe & an X-pipe besides the prices I've been looking on here and can't find anything about them

An x-pipe flows better since it allows more air because of the crossover shape and sounds better in GT's IMO. Has more of a raspy sound to me.

H is just an H-pipe that I think sounds best. On my six cylinder anyway.

It's the shape of the mid-pipe and the sound and air flow.

H pipe has a more aggressive louder and in my opinion better sound on an V6. X pipe seems to be better on a GT. It's just an opinion though. Not even sure u were looking for sound info. If so try YouTube and see what you think

This is your answer. H has a deeper rumble. X is a bit more raspy. The power differences are negligible. An h gives you a bit more bottom end torque whereas an x has more top end hp. The differences are in the neighborhood of maybe 10 more horse on the top end for an x and the h nets you about 10 more fl/lbs of torque. Neither will be very noticeable so pick which sounds best to you.

And for a 5.0, the h pipe would be very deep and rumbly.

Edit: lol. I don't even know if rumbly is a word. But what the hell...

And once again: the Mac Prochamber has the best of both worlds and should be high on your list if you are considering off road mid pipes.

You'll see it recommended a lot by the dyno shops because it usually generates more torque and equal horsepower to the X-pipes.

The H sounds better for sure. If 5 or so hp is the difference then I'll take the better sound.

Re: X-pipe

I should be ableto tellyou first hand side by side with the two of them this week. I just got my new X pipe in and will be taking my H pipe off. But then again I will also be adding long tubes so that may change it all together also.
