Press in pin rod with floating pistons

i got my block back from being bored and im looking for new pistons but the ones i find are floating wrist pins. I'm getting the trickflow engine kit and im reusing the crank and the rods. my stock old pistons are still on the rod and i sure the wrist pin is .912 but not completely sure. Can i use my old rod with the new floating piston?

Re: Press in pin rod with floating pistons

Years ago, I had the same dilemma and the solution was to have my stock rods machined to accept floating pins..

That's what I was thinking but then I think I'm getting new pistons that are floating and my rods are press but the pin is pressed in the the rod not the piston so it's freely to move but the rod keeps it from sliding out. It's kinda like stock. I just would not use the retainers that would normally hold the pin in place. The stock rod holds it in place for me since there are press fit
