Re: Headlight dash light switch problems

i've been told that these are known for 'going out'. in my fox my headlight switch worked fine but when i would turn on the fog lights my headlights would blink every now and then causing some kind of short. if i played with the fog light switch it would stop. replaced the switches and i'm good to go now.

good luck and let us know what works for you

they are rather easy to replace, you can yank one from a pull a part junk yard. The hardest part is getting that stupid light knob off... major pain.. cant just pull it. Have to use a clip and look at the slit in the side of it then pull that metal clip up and slide the knob off.

Not to jack your thread but I got a similar problem. At night if I turn my interior lights on my dash lights go off until I turn cabin light back off

I had strange issues with mine before that caused the turn signals not to work. It turned out to just be a loose wire on the back of the switch. On the foxes it's not as bad to pull the switches out. They just sort of clip into place.

Agree with everyone else. Most likely a headlight switch fairly common and simple

I joined this forum just to say how f@#%ing beautiful your Red fire is. I never really cared for the New Edge body style, but you've definitely changed my mind. I'd enjoy seeing your build list, After seeing it my wife asked me to buy the 2004 Cobra Convertible from her friend, so I did. WTF she's worth it.

Headlight dash light switch problems

Yep the wiring harness on the light switch burns up mainly on the gt models but this can happen to an LX also. But most of the time it's the switch itself Click image for larger version
