They work ok just need to port them out and have the guides cut down for higher lift cams. I would install the GT 40 springs with chrome Molly retainers and have the seat cut out for 194 intake & 160 exh valves that's what I did on my 306 and they worked out very well but all side I am going to AFR 185 the next cam change I do

Re: E7 heads

All things considered, they're "ok"....better than most other stock 302 heads, but NOTHING near what an aftermarket head can do.

What are your goals? Why did you purchase them? For what car?

Re: E7 heads

im totaly lost... was your stang motor disassembled when you bought it? your buying heads that came factory on that car.

im surprised that roger306 spent that much on e7's. i run e7's but i ported them myself so there's no real expense there besides my time and the upgrade springs.

however, i think you got a deal on wut u bought, and should be happy with it if your installing a gear also.

their not worth doing all that work to? you can buy a set of after market heads that will totally out perform them for about the same price as all that work ....

Better than other mustang heads? I'm confused. The e7s is what comes on stock. They alright ported but I would save money to aftermarket or even gt40 heads for few hundred bucks

Yupp. They also came on most of the truck 5.0 motors. If you want to port them go for it...but they're only worth 50 bucks or so assembled in good shape.
