speedo help

so whoever i bought my 88 gt from did a coversion from auto to manual transmission.they never hooked up the spedometer cable and i cant seem to find out where to plug it in.are auto and manual different?please help with any good advice.

The hookup for it on the tranny is in the middle driver side of the tail housing.

And the speedo gear that attaches to the sensor at the transmission is different between auto and manual.

They may have put some type of plug in the spot where it goes. I have seen people do that and make a simple plug to be sure not to loose fluid.

Am I the only one thinking this is the only place where the words speedo tranny and tail can be mentioned in the same post and it not be dirty

whoever did the swap was fukn lazy. ive taken the speedo gear outa my t5 and popped it right into my aod. not to mention, even if u go from electric to cable driven, the speedo gears are still swapable.

sound like the guy was too lazy to pull on the speedo cable... cause there is a difference in lengths between t5 and aod, but if u pull the right way the cable will still go on.

he was def lazy.i have spent hours upon hours trying to unrig everything.the speedo cable is mechanical.
