Right now there's that big round intake would I be able to make the tubular kind or should I leave it like that? Would I have a problem with the fuel injectors?

Re: 84 mustang lx question

ok... i was confused cause u posted your car being an 84 and they didnt start efi till 86. if it's fuel injected, u can pretty much put any intake or heads on u want, the aftermarket has your world wide open

heads will wake up any motor .but they would definately be restricted by factory intake.im sure summit or jegs could help you find the right combo for you

Re: 84 mustang lx question

Ewwww. TBI.
I'd lose that thing for an Edelbrock 600 and start there. GT40 heads would also be nice with an aftermarket Edelbrock intake manifold.

Re: 84 mustang lx question

If you are going to go with a lot of power eventually, pick yourself up a TKO tranny for it. World of difference from the T5.
