Ac high and low pressure ports?

Can someone tell me on my 92 LX which AC port is high and which is low. I assume that the port on the compressor is high and the port on the tube roughly in the center of the engine bay is low. Thanks.

sooo im gonna assume that you are in the process of doing an r134a conversion? not sure how you are goin bout it... but you should do this if you have'nt already.

autozone or any parts retailer... you can buy the r134a conversion fittings, about 5-7 bucks. screw the fittings onto the factory r12 fittings. you may or may not need a valve stem remover in order to install one of the ports. your r134a fill hose will only go on one port. the high and low ports are differnt sizes so u cant mess it up.

i cant remeber which is which on the car, so i help this lil bit of info helps...

Yes I am converting but am slowly piecing the system together. Anyone with the conversion or without the conversion have theirs marked or color coded red / blue? Just need to know which one is which so I can order the correct fittings. Thanks.

If you buy a kit it should only come with the low side fittings. The low side line itself is the larger one and the fitting is the one on the pump itself.

ive never seen a kit with just one side. all the conversion kits ive ever purchased had both sides. not too mention, if you are using professional gauges (not autozone stuff) or using an actual recycle/fill machine... you gotta have both conversion fittings installed.

Yeah just realized that, never really been too worried about the high side connection because the 134a gauges we use have a retrofit adapter that we use for the high side. Been awhile since I've done a conversion.
