There are plenty of good cams out there if u wanna stick with ford parts I would say a b or e cam. I like trick flow stage 1 and that's what I'm getting next just make sure u car is geared for the cam u choose

Another option is instead of putting in a larger lift cam would be to keep your stock cam and ditch the 1.6 roller rockers and get 1.7s and u get almost same effects with 10% of the labor. Just an option though. Alot of folks do it cause stock cams are good on the bottle. The aluminum roller rockers are lighter and stronger than stock ones, rev faster and well open valves more giving a more lopey sound. I'm running the same setup as u on dd and I'm getting a trick flow cam just not gonna tear apart motor just for cam swap

Wow so i just use stock cam and change rockers to 1.7 and that's it?? Will it give that cam sound or sound normal, what about if my heads have 1.7 rockers & still get a cam would it make anymore of a diff in hp?

Well more lift gets closer and closer to piston and valve clearance stock cams usually have more duration but less lift. U are increasing lift so get aftermarket cam effects. It will change the sound alittle. The bigger cam lopes when it opens big then shuts right away. With bigger rr it will open valves more and they are easier to instal. YouTube poops up foxbody roller rocker swaps and it's a video that helps. It's safer than putting some extreme big cam in your car and losing drive ability, an easier idle, not to meNtion what happens to brakes when vacuum is changed but huge cams

I'd recommend something like a XE266HR or XE270HR from Comp Cams or a Crane 2020 (now 4442111).
