Re: Lsx

The LSX is a cast iron block based on the LS7. It'll do real big cubes, with the right crank. Like 454ci, if not bigger. Sometimes you see LSx used to describe the whole LS engine series (instead of LS1, LS6, LS2, LS7, LS3, LS9).

I'm not against it at all. The LS based engines are probably some of the best pushrod engines built. If my only options were a 2v or 3v 4.6, I would take an LS any day. If it's a 4v 4.6 or 5.4 then I would take the 4v. The good thing is that you can drop a gm drivetrain into anything you can fit it in easily. And ford still can't build an auto trans for ****. If I could put a 700r4 or a 4L60 trans in the cobra, I would do it in a heartbeat. The camaro body is a POS IMO. So I'm ok with the swap. The mustang will still be a mustang.

I agree I like the ls over everything but the 4 valve motors and chevy has great transmissions with the help of a ford axle anyways those 10 bolts are like a cobra IRS. They can hold on big blowers or split on bolt on motors

Can't say it's to much of mine but if it is let me know I said ls1 style coupes could get 12s and mid 20s on gas and we all should know those model z28 with six speed got great fuel and with low bolt on on a camaros weight can get high 12s easily and if it was about the c5 cammed getting same time as my brother 10psi hatchback it's like this, they have been thousands of cammed only vets and z28 getting 11s or even high 10s with bolt ons, suspension tweaks , and only cammed internals. Now if port work was done at that time. Who knows. But a bone stock 14.6 ish hatchback with a 10psi turbo added on 255/17 street radials with no strait line set up. Really doubt he runs faster than 11.5s at this time. I know I was wrong to post lsx and not clarify but point it out dawg

The more that you post, the funnier you become. Entertaining if anything.
