| Vortech Arrived Today!!!
I tried to wait patiently for my new Vortech to arrive but I have to admit, I have been chompin' at the bits the last few day hoping it would just get here already!
Today was the the day, Thank God ( and my local UPS guy)! It just got here and I am ecstatic...I have wanted a supercharger for longer than I can remember, which isn't too long do to a closed head injury but that's another story...lol
Anyway, here are the first pics of the glorious install which will take a few day cuz I just had surgery on my mouth (due to the above mentioned "another" story) on Friday and I'll will have to work as pain permits!

I realize that the injectors are small but I ordered them before my wife gave me the okay to get the supercharger, but I'll make it all work!
P.S. I am about to get online and get an Anderson Powerpipe!!!

I just bought it and three days after doing so the rear end locked up so it's been sitting on jackstands in my garage for three weeks waiting for a new one! I have it now but just need to install it! Believe you me, it will be beautiful when I get it up and running!

I ran into my first little hiccup last night around midnight.....under drive pulleys!
The damn crank pulley is to small for the supplied bolt on 6in pulley! So here in a few hours when the parts stores open up,
I need to get a stock crank pulley.
I could just order the HO crank pulley, which has a 4.75 accessory drive and 6.87 sc drive built all on one pulley but I need to keep the boost to a minimum atleast till I get more fuel and boost/timing retard electronics!

Well...I've had the bug for a couple of years now but it always seems like I either have time to work on it and no money or no time and plenty of money! Now I have all the time and plenty of money but I'm in pain most of the time and can't work on it...
I was in a head on collision in a company vehicle in feb. and crushed my face and broke my jaw and had to have reconstructive surgery and another surgery this last friday! So this install is gonna take awhile! Seems like I can't win for losing.

I would fully rebuild that engine and do a full cleaning and maintenance before I dropped cash on upgrading it with a blower just my opinion.

I'm head out to a salvage yard to see if I can pick up a stock crankshaft pulley so I can continue on with the install...oh and the previous owner snapped a bolt off on the passenger side head so I'll have to get an ease out.

Just bought the car so no clue what gaskets are on it but I'm guessing fel-pro...the waterpump and timing cover gaskets look like fel-pro units so I'm assuming the head gaskets are what came in the kit??? The cooling system is stock though, yes!

Well...I didn't have any luck finding a stock crank pulley and I looked everywhere there is to look in a small town so I am gonna order an HO pulley from Vortech tonight....
So now I'll be running a bit more boost than what was originally planned but I don't suppose that's such a bad thing
Considering the whole idea here is more horsepower, right?!

I'm figuring on it running at about 8 to 10 lbs of boost with my induction and that pulley, and that's without a powerpipe....I'm just gonna run the intake that comes with the kit so that will restrict the flow a little bit!
I'll be good as long as I get it to gearheads for a tune as soon as I get it put together!

Oh your gonna love it man, hope the best for u. We gotta 89lx in the shop right now that just blew a head gasket, heads checked out good so he put a mls I believe head gasket and a fluiodine radiator on it and 80 miles later lightning struck again. At least I did get to drive it before it went limp.

Thanks racr, I can't freakin wait till it's done! I've been into mustangs since about 2002 and have always read about people in the magazines with all these badass cars....and I'm finally one step closer to having a car similar to all those I read about'

And even if I do blow **** up, That gives me a good excuse to build a bigger and better engine than what I started with!
I'm gonna go all out with the next one. An R block with complete 4340 internals and upgrade my head unit to a YS-Trim and a stand alone management unit and really see what high boost feels like!!!
