Clutch and pressure plate

Just looking for some recommendations. Ok here's the deal I'm currently building a 351 with a 5 speed tremec 100 shot. Couple other odds and ends at the end of the season(live in Michigan) I plan on stroking it to a 408 and putting a c4 in. But for right now what are some good to moderate clutch and pressure plate options? My engine builder says the motor should produce about 550 horse at the flywheel. Currently have stock

Re: Clutch and pressure plate

I'm at 405 hp at the flywheel and so far I have had good luck with a Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. What I like most is the low pedal effort and the fact that it holds so much better than a stocker.

Centerforce has a new DYAD clutch you might want to look into.
SPEC also makes good clutches, so stop by there too.
There are many more clutch manufacturers out there, so if either of those don't suit, just Google Mustang Clutches for more choices.

I've never had problems with Center force , untill I went BIG Power , I had a blower car making over 600 at the wheel and I smoked a center force , it just wouldn't hold the power ........ Went to A Ram Power Grip and had no problems ......

The Ram Power Grip would be another good choice.
How is the pedal effort and engagment on those?
