Patriot Performance Heads..

I have a 1989 mustang gt, I currently have these performance parts, ported explorer intake lower and upper manifold,C&L,BBK Throttle body,BBk headers, BBK x-pipe,flowmasters w/ turndowns,BBK aluminum pulleys,3 row fluidyne radiator, electric fan,JET performance chip, 3:73 gears. The car has 111,000 original miles im the second owner, the engine has never been cracked open.

I wanted to add a " f " cam from ford motorsports, but im not sure what HEADS i should go with. I was looking at patriot heads but im not sure, what would be the best head I should go with my combination i have, also im planning to go 347 stroker next year so i want to use the same combo,

Re: Patriot Performance Heads..

design the cam around the intakes and heads, not the other way around...

research long and hard your head choice, look at things more than BS flow numbers and intake size... be more concerned with cross section and runner length. and obviously canted style and TW revised valve placement works better than stock.

after you've made that choice, then come back and ask us what cam you want.

Re: Patriot Performance Heads..

we had issues with patriot heads, they tend to leak from them porting them to much, i would look at afrs, or darts, i have edelbrocks that work great for the street, and would work with your "f" cam, i also have darts, which i like as well, for your setup i would look at a 185cc head
