Old school super charger?

So here is the deal, my grandfather has been into mustangs forever and fast cars but is an old school guy. What kind of super charger could I get to bolt onto my 93 5.0. My motor has been moved back about 3-5 inches giving me a good 6 inches or more room in the front of my motor for whatever. Another question, anyone ever Hurd of moon racing cams?

Re: Old school super charger?

MoonEyes sold out long ago to a Japanese company, so be careful you don't get any rice in your Mustang.

What you are looking for is a "Roots" style blower.

How did you move the motor back 3-5" in a 93 Mustang?

You don't need a lot of room in front for roots blower, but you will need lots of room on top.

I like them, but there is one route you can go for half the price. Eaton m112 off a cobra used usually run for 500 on graigslist, you can get a plate made to join it to your intake.

This is his kit, it sits kinda high but he's working on a few setups to try and get one under a stock hood.

No that's a pic of his car, I was going to get it but I don't want to have to put a 4" cowl on my car.

Re: Old school super charger?

tons of superchargers are out there for the 5.0 from twin screws, turbos, and centri superchargers. You should have no trouble finding a kit for your 5.0.

Im not sure exactly how he moved it back, he just told me when I bought it that it's been moved back, but I will be sure to take pictures of it later, there is alot of room in front of the motor now.

You can make a eaton m112 fit it. They sell a custom intake manifold for the bolt up. Unless yours is carbureted. Then you will have to figure something else out...

Yes kenne bell makes a kit for the 5.0 th run a little over $3000 i believe. Go to corral.net and look up eaton on 5.0 to see the custom m112 setup that Joeystang sells.
