Remote door locks

Where is the module for remote door locks suppose to be? I read online that if you jumper the gray connector while the ignition is on, your door locks will cycle and you would be able to reprogram your remote. Mine cycled, so does this mean that if I get a remote and program it I'll have remote locks? Or do I need the module that I'm not seeing

I don't know about that for sure but I know the 02s if u turn the key back and forth a bit untill the car cycles through locks and unlocks then impress ur button on ur remote and that's how u program them... So when it's cycles try pressing lock then unlock on ur remote

Don't have one yet. Trying to make sure it's capable first before I buy a remote.

Re: Remote door locks

I found this in reference to your question, but I can't confirm its accuracy.

Quote:
1. Turn ignition to RUN or ACC.
2. Momentarily jump pins in programming connector located in LR quarter panel area (Connector will not be plugged
into anything, it will have two pins inside it, if you have to unlug it you have the WRONG one. Not all vehicles
are set up from factory for keyless remotes) All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode.
3. Press any button on first keyless remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
4. If programming a second keyless remote, press any button on second keyless remote.
Door locks will cycle to confirm programming.
5. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.

I did this check the module and see what the FCC Id number is and match it when you buy the remote! Good luck!

Where it looks like a handle on the front on the back of that black box you'll see a sticker and that should tell you all of your info
