Are these worthy?

I just picked up two NEW turbos that fit the 2.3 turbo coups for $175. Would it be worth using these in a twin turbo setup on a mild built 5.0? I'm thinking about doing this on my 95'. I have a intercooler and a bunch of piping up in my garage collecting dust. I have always wanted to build my own tt setup, but never had the turbos. Any info on how to do this would be great. What manifolds should I use, cam, injectors...ect. Let me hear your ideas and thoughts in this?

Bill

You should be able to find maps online for each turbo. It kind of depends. What size are they? As with anything, you can probably make as much power as you want.... once. How strong is ur bottom end? Turbomustangs.com has a ton of info and guys who know turbos.

Re: Are these worthy?

if you custom fab everything yourself using good quality parts sure~ you should try to aim for 6-7psi, that would work good with a GREAT tune with no issue and give you a rather nice boost in performance for sure, at least 15hp per psi I would think.

Should I buy a set of turbo manifolds or can I use the ones I have and turn them upside down (BBK equal lengths)? I have a guy that can dyno tune it for me so I'm good there.

Re: Are these worthy?

i have no input about which turbo is good etc but I dont think those will work for you, and a single turbo setup will make just as much power and work great no need to have two

i dont think your headers will work just backwards.

Re: Are these worthy?

They will work just fine. A 2.3 is almost 1/2 of a 5.0.
Use them both, as one would be a bit small for a 5.0.
Your headers probably will not work without some modifications.
You may be better off in the long run buying purpose made manifolds.
For a cam, use the CamQuest software at Comp Cams. It will tell you the best grind for your setup.
You will likely need 39-42lb. injectors and a bigger fuel pump 190-255lph.
Keep the boost at 6-8 psi if you have a stock 5.0 block.
Research installations and make sure you get all the bits and pieces you need and they are installed in their proper location.
