Rrverse lights

My reverse lights never have worked. I don't know if it was something when the previous owner did the motor and transmission swap or what. And the lights aren't blown..

Did you check fuses? Or wiring?

If the previous owner replaced the auto for a standard or the other way, the plug for the back up lights is different from auto to standard due to the need of a neutral safety switch. Under the car there will be a plug from the car and one from the trans, just need to figure out the reverse lights wires and connect them.

Auto or manual?
Likely the switch that activates them when you put it in reverse.

Take a look at it and make sure it is connected first.
You can test it with the wires disconnected if you have an ohmmeter.
Test the wires with a 12 volt test light to see that you have power to the switch.

These two wires have conduit around them, they're seperate and they are tied onto the side of the tranny with a zip tie. They're not hooked up. One is red and one is blue.. What do they go to? Doesn't look like the could hook into each other but I'm not sure..

Can't really tell from the picture.
Did you find the switch and is it connected?

Yes, it should be connected into the wiring harness.
I will see if I have a diagram of the wiring.

I know it's a wiring diagram but is it for a wire cluster, or what?

It is the body wiring diagram.
Find the switch in the middle right, then it shows where the wires go to.
Click once to open the image, then click on it again to enlarge.

I know about enlarging. But there's nothing that goes to the switch...no wires under the car for it or anything.

Then you will have to run new wires or replace the harness.
