Re: shift kit

I had a transgo in my 97, worked fine... but if its not installed right you can have major issues. Many just have a custom tune done and up the shift pressure and modify the points without having to put one in the transmission~ ive also heard that transgo is not so good in 99+

Re: shift kit

I've used them in the past with mixed results.
For a stock rebuild where you are not going to pound on it much, they work ok.
If you are going to hotrod or race it, then go with something better.

Try this site Ultimate AODE
Look through it. It tells you the weak spots in the AODE and it has the parts to improve them.
