Leaning seat

Does anybody know how to fix a leaning seat? I know this happens to tons of 5.0's, can it be repaired?

From what I have seen it is often caused by a broken support.
Remove the seat cover/foam and have a look.
If it is just weld it back up and maybe add some bracing if possible.

Re: Leaning seat

You will have to break the seat down to the bare frame and add reinforcement. I have a driver seat broken down at the moment...just haven't figured out the best way to fix this issue. It's actually in the hinge mechanism.

I'm pretty good at fabrication.
If you can get some good pics of the seat and the damaged area, I might be able to help you figure out how to fix it if you wish?

They're in the attic...not real worried about them at the moment. I bought a set out of a 91GT and they worked out just fine. Originals will be fixed at a later date.
