I got a BIG PROBLEM!!!

Hey guys

I put everything back on and I go to start it and it turns over real slow! I put the jumper pack on it it still turns over in slow motion... Then I looked closely and right in front of the windshield there's smoke!!! Idk what to do or what this is I'm positive my spark plug wires are right order! Also I attached a pic of a plug that I do not know where it goes and if it causes the smoke please reply asap!!!

Thanks

Sorry, I don't know what the plug is in your picture.

Sounds like your timing is way off or you have a bad connection at your battery positive or ground cables.

Check your connection at your starter

Nickcap:

The plug is three vacuum hoses from the passenger side inside fender. One vacuum goes to the upper intake manifold and the others two hoses to the smog pump. I removed the smog pump on my 94 Cobra and I close the both hoses. I include a pic of the plugs. Feel free to contact me if you have any question.

Did you check your timing and positive and negative connections?

Re: I got a BIG PROBLEM!!!

that vacume connector HAS NOTHING to do with a slow crank , and neither would installing plugs and wires ........ unless you moved the distributor maybe ??
sounds like the timing's off or your starter just took a crap / bad connection , battery, starter etc ...

White smoke is usually a sign of coolant consumption, but it could be from oil on the exhaust headers too.
Where is the white smoke coming from?

Did you mop up all of the coolant when you removed the intake and did you change your oil?

Did you set your timing?
Remember to remove the spout connector when setting the timing and to replace it after you were done?

+1, also double check to make sure the plug wires are in the right firing order. It's an easily overlooked mistake.

Then more than likely it is just oil burning off the exhaust.
You should always change your oil when you remove the intake manifold because no matter how hard you try, coolant usually gets down into the oil pan.
The firing order is 13726548 in the counterclockwise direction from #1 plug wire terminal.

Beav, don't trust those firing orders listed on that page.
I checked and found several of them to be wrong.

Did you put the pcv valve in the lower intake. If it's out it will smoke like crazy and run rough.

Yes, clockwise is higher and vice versa. I would set it at 10 until you get the problem solved.

U have a 95 gt thats cool i have a 94... F.Y.I. I hope ur not running regular gass in it its pre 98 and not good to run e85 mixed gas which all regular gas is now so i would recomend adjusting ur timing from ten deg of advance to 12 and run premo she will run WAY Nicer for u and if u have been running reg gas bye some fuel injector cleaner and run it threw a few tanks once ur timmings set b4 ur injectors get all pluged up with that garbage gas

---------- Post added at 05:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:05 PM ----------

Regular will run fine in his car. All grades of gas have 10% ethanol and e85 is 85%. The only reason to really run premium is if he has the supporting mods.
