Header question

Does anyone know of the Mac long tube headers that don't require un hooking motor mounts? Let me know.

Did a search.
As near as I can tell they never built them.
I ran across a magazine article from 2000 that said they were going to, but then nothing. Checked their website and nothing there either.

Sorry.

New header question. Has anyone had any experience with pacesetter brand headers for any vehicle? I'm just wanting to know if they are decent.

A buddy of mine had them on an 88 gt and they were pretty decent. He put them on his car a few months before he sold it and didn't have any problems.

Re: Header question

I've used BBK , MAC , Hooker , over the years , never had any issues with any of them ........ they all require some work to install , unbolting engine mounts , jacking up the engine a little , removing the steering shaft etc ... none are easy ,but none are to hard if you have some mechanical know how .
and you do get what you pay for , The BBk's were chrome ,and rusted a little , the Mac's had some kinda armor coating and rusted a little ,the Hookers were ceramic coated and DID NOT Rust .....
So it all depends on your budget and what you want
and they're all good for horsepower

I'm thinking about putting one on my 92 Toyota truck four cylinder. It has a three year warranty so it should be ok. Thanks for the replies!

Mine lined up just fine with no problems. It took only a couple of hours to do my entire exhaust. Even with my h/c/I swap I didnt have any problems.

Re: Header question

Same here. No problems with either installation.
You must have gotten a damaged or factory reject part.

What mid pipe are you using for your exhaust?

I will for sure. I made a mistake. I Meant X pipe. Not H pipe. It may take a little while. The X pipe and headers alone are going to cost around $800.

Instead of buying a x pipe you could try exhaust shops to see if they can fabricate you one. They make x chambers to weld in as well. You'd come out cheaper and just as good.
