Oil plug - Mustang Evolution

Oil plug

Changed my oil, was putting the plug back in and felt it strip. I bought a new one and it went In fine. There a day later the was a spot of oil on re ground and a drip from the plug.. Any thoughts?

You may need to rethread the hole a little larger and buy the corresponding plug.

Go to the parts store and get the oversized plug kit for 1/2"x20 thd plug hole.

For some reason my plug is not the standard size.. It's M 12.25. Should I go with 12.50?

Then you may already have an oversized plug, which is not a good thing.
See if they have an oversize listed for the size you have.
I'm not sure if the M12.50 will be right or not.
The next size up in SAE thd is 9/16" x 18 THD.

Yeah, those sizes are what I found too. I dont understand why my plug is so much smaller than the stock size.
