I have a tuning issue with the Moates chip and I just want to know if the Megasquirt is a good option for my Turbo stang.

From what I have read about it I would say that it is a good option.
I have seen many posts and articles about MegaSquirt over the years and they have pretty much all been positive.
Compared to what I paid for my AFM PMS the price seems to be pretty reasonable too.

I know the SCT is a good option when the car is stock, minor mods or the tuner is close to you. Is difficult to get the chip to work perfectly on the first burn. I'm from Puerto Rico and it's too much of a hassle to mail the chip back and forth. Now I have the Moates single tune chip with the burner combo and is very simple because the tuner send me the tunes by e-mail. Once I install the turbo and the MAF was changed, injectors and fuel pump the problems begans. My car start and immediately turn off. I think is a tuning not a mechanical issue. Without the chip the engine start but very rich.

Re: Megasquirt

I think you will find it easier to tune with a tuner rather than a chip.
I don't know if the MegaSquirt offers it, but a parameter logging option would help determine what is going on.
