Fox Body Hydraulic Clutch Conversion

Here's an article on how to convert your Fox Body to a hydraulic clutch.

Cable to Hydraulic Conversion

A bit pricey at a touch over $600, but there are lots of benefits.

No, I don't think it would.
Might preserve your leg if you have a heavy clutch though.

Here's what was said about why they designed it:

“We designed the kit to help solve the cable stretching and snapping issues with the Fox body Mustangs, but also to reduce the amount of effort needed to push in the clutch pedal.”

so how common is it for the stock cable to stretch and snap?

right now, pedal feels firm throughout travel but never gets "stiff" or "easy" in one spot.

Pretty common.
The factory cables are the best quality you can get according to the article.
The aftermarlet cables are just not built as well.

My new ford racing cable lasted about 500mi....but I might blame the stock plastic quadrant on that..??..
The BBK adjustable cable I just got is actually sleved in plastic(no exposed steel cable) the ford racing 1 was not...only about 50mi on the new cable we'll see how long it last!.
Myself I do like manual clutches only because its more "old school" and easier to problem solve...i dont mind the heavier pedal one bit!..

They were not talking about the Ford Racing cable, but the "factory" cable. They are not the same thing.

I prefer the more complicated route myself, whenever I can afford it.
Keeps me thinking and I always learn something new.

Wish I saw this a year ago before I replaced the clutch. I've snapped my cable twice now...not fun and very aggravating. Leaves you stranded if you're out and about.

I've had hydraulic clutch activation compnents on my Ford Rangers last over 100K with no problems, so there is definitely something to be said about the durability.

That is an awesome product...as soon as I have to replace a clutch cable or clutch I will definitely go this route!
