belt length for no smog and AC eliminated

I'm running no smog pump and the Ford racing AC eliminator from AM. According to the chart that Trojan posted and I've seen it elsewhere I should be using a 73 inch belt but its to long. Has anyone run this and if so what belt did you use.

An easy way to measure a belt length is to take string or rope. Run it the way the belt will go tie it in a tight knot and take it to the parts place. I forreal it works i do it all the time

Do you have underdrive pullies?
If you do those charts are for stock pullies.

Follow the instructions given above by carbedsn95.

That's strange.
I wonder if someone has changed out some of the pullies with another 302 engine to make a home made underdrive pulley set up?

You can just measure the length of the rope or string used to get your belt length too if you wish.

They route the belt different. Hmmm also has underdrive pulleys but maybe ill try routing that way and see if it works. Otherwise ill just measure with a rope. Thanx all

Hay bud i know your prolly aware of this but to be sure. Make sure your waterpump turns the same direction. If you have to reverse it. Get a 1990 crown vic with a 5.0 its a reverse rotation pump. Your also gonna have to mod your pulley to fit cuz the bolt holes dont match up. Its not hard.

Just in case
