Free mod

Nice little free mod I did the other night. Changed it up to make my fogs work separately from parking and headlights.

I did that to mine when the light switch started overheating. I love the way they look with just the fog lights on.

It was a defect in the stock light switch. Only did it when I had the fogs on and would cut everything out. Did it to me on an unlit bridge the first time before I realized what it was.

Does it need a heavier duty relay or was it just your switch?

Its supposedly a common problem with the gt light switch in the foxes. I'm sure the replacement switches are more heavy duty.

Re: Free mod

Yep, It was an issue on the older Fox Body Mustangs because of the undersized (amperage) headlight switch.
They had corrected it by the time the 94-95 Mustangs came out I believe.

For me the problem was the alternator. The damn fog lights would cause the headlights to flicker after being on for about 5 minutes. I had to buy a new alternator and re route the wiring. Common problem on the fox bodies.
