Crate engine

As I am fairly new to the small block 302 I am planing on getting a new long block crate engine.
I want a good starting point and am thinking of a ford racing 302 not a 351 my wallet only gets so deep!..
Just want to know what you guys think?..

If you plan on forced induction make sure you get the right one. The x302 isn't made for boost but the x302e and x302b motors are.

To run much boost on the engine you will need a forged rotating assembly (pistons, rods, & crankshaft) you will also want to go with a 4 bolt main block (boss, dart, svo, etc.) which is much stronger than the stock 5.0 block.
