Only thing is a super chips printed on it and says 2004. The one I had for my other 95 was a little different had a black piece of metal to cover the hole in the ECU with a sticker that said 1995 GT Manual.

Yes, the 180 would still be less.

Interesting that the switch has 7 positions.
Do you have any information on it as far as brand name and model?
0 is one of the bad settings..

That's the sct switch. 0 is a no run setting. 1-4 should be the tunes with 4 being the stock settings.

Same thing, but I think you can get programs on those too.

What's 5-7 for?
You may have to download and install Adobe Reader if you can't see it.
5-7 are not used.

Couldn't find this last time I looked. I believe this is what I have.
After more checking mine out, the FP only primes on 1-4.

SCT 4-Bank Eliminator Chip w/ 3 Free Custom Tunes (94-98 GT) - SCT 6600||38023
It matches the PDF file I posted for you.

The tunes listed for it according to switch position on that page may be:

1. Street (87-93 octane) - The street tune is designed as a daily driver program that focuses on increasing mid-range power. Automatic vehicles are further enhanced by making adjustments to the transmission's shift points and firmness.

2. Performance (87-93 octane) - The Performance program is designed to add power at 3000 RPMs and higher, focusing more on the top end horsepower and all out performance driving. Timing, fuel and throttle response settings are slightly more aggressive than the street tune. This is a great track tune but also works well for daily drivers that are looking for a little more "get up and go" than the street tune. The automatic transmission settings are the same as in the street tune.

3. Race (91 - 93 octane) - The race tune will ensure the largest increase in vehicle performance. Using the highest grade of fuel available in your area is mandatory. This file is designed for "Race Use Only", as the timing, fuel, and throttle response settings are very aggressive. It is so aggressive that we do not recommend it for daily driving as it may cause your vehicle to try to jump out from a stop and easily spin the tires. On automatics, we implement entirely new shift points and firmness settings to further enhance the all-out performance of the vehicle.

4. Original Stock Tune

5., 6. & 7. Positions are not used. (Car will not start or run.)

Sounds like a nitrous tune

After some trial and error it seems #1 is the race tune #2 is performance #3 is street and #4 is stock tune. I'm thinking this is a sign that the chip came from a tuner other then AM.

Side note: when I bought the car the dealer said it would give a CEL code if you changed the tune while the car was running. In the AM add it says can be changed on the fly. So last nigh I changed it on the fly(couple times today too) with no issue. Just reassures me it was installed incorrectly before.

---------- Post added at 01:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:23 PM ----------

Wish there was an easy way to tell who tuned the chip..

A 180 is the lowest temp you should use.

They probably broke the original T-stat housing and had to replace it.
I can't tell you how many times I have seen this over the years.
99.99% of the time it is from over tightening the bolts.

The plugged opening in the top is usually for a temperature sending unit.
However not all vehicles use that port.
If the housing has been changed that could be one sign of a previous power adder installation, but without more evidence to back it up it's really hard to say for sure.
What? I put 160 in mine cuz gets hot prolly cuz u/d pulleys...but still gets hot when its hot outside...could this still cause issue? With cold run loop?

Do you have headers? Mine warms up properly when the temps outside are above
60F, otherwise mine doesn't get to normal. Has it gotten cold where you live yet?

Also I believe you can give them the serial number on the chip and they should be able to give you the tune info.
