Yes gt40 heads will bolt straight to the block. What did they come off of?

Ok, if they came off a cobra fox then you shouldn't have to worry about spark plug clearance.

I don't believe you should have to. Are you still running speed density?

If you start modding heavily you will need to convert to mass air.

Do you know if they were stored correctly? Either still on a block, or standing on end? If not or not sure I'd have them checked at a machine shop.. It would suck to do that work and they be warped.

ya you could take them to a shop or even take a straight edge and a feeler gauge and test it that way, get the max head warpage specs online.

With that being the case I'd check them or have them checked for sure.

Re: 88 lx 5.0 fastback

you need to call some local machine shops for the best estimate. I was qouted 300 to do my heads and intake.

I ultimately did my own at work with the help of some machinists. Free beat out 300, but i would have still paid to have the work done if i had to. They are bad heads and can be ported to flow almost as well as some of the nicer aftermarket heads.

No doubt! I have a motor with spun mains that have some worked E7's on it.. They have all new parts on them too.. Really don't know why I still have'em I need to get rid of them, because it's on a stand that's basically brand new. Want the stand freed up to use it for an engine build for my bike.
