Re: Front cobra calipers

You have a few options:

1. Remove brake pads and it will literally fall apart.

2. Remove the locking washer from the pin and slide the pin out, then slide the caliper from the mounting bracket.

Is this pin on the bottom? And is the lock washer like a c clip? And if i just unbolt the bracket and pop the pads out is it easy to pop new ones back in place?

When putting new pads in place I normally just pop the old ones out, use a c-clamp to tighten both pistons back in place, and put the new ones in. Shouldn't need to tighten/loosen/remove anything else.

But yes, the c-clip is what I was referring to.

Re: Front cobra calipers

removing the brake calipers can be a pain as those bolts are VERY tight and MUST be re installed very tight... (using a TQ wrench is the only way to ensure correct installation and safety fyi but many just tighten the **** out of them....)

The diagram doesn't show bolts, just pins with retainer clips for the Cobra.
Is that correct or did I post the wrong diagram?

It looks exactly like what i have, but i think i only have one pin at the bottom, so what holds the top?

---------- Post added at 12:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:20 PM ----------

Nevermind, theres a little rounded point at the top that goes into a rounded slot and you put that end first then fold it down and insert the pin and c clip, thanks for the help again
