Window Tinting

so im going to attempt to tint my windows, ive helped people do it, watched people do it and i am gonna try it myself, i just wanted to know if anyone had any tips and tricks to doing it, best way for the side windows and then the back window, also would tinting over the defrost lines on the back window have any effect on way the tint turns out?

Re: Window Tinting

ive always heard the back window is the hardest as it needs to be one piece, but you have a hatch so access is easier

I got a good trick for the side Windows.take about 4 quarters .stack them with 3 if them lined up and the top one offset about 1/4" or so .then take a razor blade and put it on the bottom of the stack sticking off 1/8" to the same side as the top quarter.tape the stack together really good.since the top quarter sticks off a little further than the blade it makes a really good guide you can drag on top of the window to cut the tint straight.
