Hey so my buddy has a 92 5.0 & he is having to adjust his clutch alot! If he drives it normal it's fine for a while but when he slams in those gears the cable gets all this slack & he can't shift. & when he adjusts his cable it's more like 6 or 7 clicks! I think it's his old plastic quadrant but I just wanted to get other opinions. Does anyone know if this is the problem? Thanks
I think you are correct.
He is probably experiencing some cable stretch too, but not to that extent.
He also needs to make sure his adjuster is not slipping.
